Mercerized "Half bleached" 100% cotton thread (GBP per 5000m cone)

This 100% mercerized cotton thread is supplied in a "half-bleached" option. It is specifically designed for sewing mercerized cotton garments which are intended to be post-dyed, although it can be used for all sewing operations. It is produced from the highest quality long staple fibre cotton. It is specially treated under tension to facilitate a greater luster and superior strength. Mercerizing ensures this thread will have a higher affinity to dyestuffs making it the ideal choice for sewing 100% cotton garments whether or not they will be post-dyed.

Use 60's & 50's for standard sewing, 40's for medium weight items and 30's for heavyweight items.
